The Army announced Thursday it will punish nine officers in connection with the Fort Hood shootings for "leadership failures relating to the career of Maj. Hasan." Army doctor Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan is accused of killing 13 people and wounding 29 others on November 5, 2009, at Fort Hood in Texas.

The Army does not identify the officers who will be punished nor does it reveal their specific punishments. A press release from the Army reads:

"The severity of each action varies depending on case-specific facts and circumstances. In certain cases, it may take several weeks to ensure that each officer is accorded appropriate due process and to take final action. In order to protect the due process rights of the officers involved, the Army will not identify them or provide details of the administrative actions at this time. Upon the completion of all cases, the Army will review whether the release of additional information would be appropriate."

Army Secretary John McHugh has sent a comprehensive review of the incident to Secretary Gates.

Apparently, a PBS exec is in the not yet released other video from James O'Keefe and Project Veritas....lets see if there's any truth to it.....doesn't sound like they're fans of Mr. O'Keefe....

Oh Great. PBS Also Met With Some Of James O’Keefe’s Flunkies

The New York Times has confirmed with executives at PBS that they too were tricked into having lunch with some of James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas flunkies. This, of course, means that, like with NPR, they were presumably video taped in secret. So, if you woke up this morning desperately hoping that you could, one day, discover what the senior vice president for development at PBS has to say during lunch conversations with potential donors, then you could be in luck! Hoorah! Yes, PBS’ Brian Reddington ate with what he thought were members of a group called the Muslim Education Action Center Trust. They were proposing a $5 million donation to PBS, but executives told the Times that they declined.

“Ms. Bentley said that Mr. Reddington came back from the lunch with ‘profound concerns about the organization’ and began what she called a routine vetting process “when there is an appearance of a conflict of interest and to ensure they meet requirements of transparency and openness.”

‘Attempts to confirm the credentials of the organization proved unsatisfactory and communication was halted by PBS,’ she said.”

Only time will tell if the Veritas members got Reddington to open up about his theories on the Tea Party’s gun carrying abilities.

I don't understand why Obama and other US leaders, are saying that leaders (however horrible they might be) of other countries should leave their office.  First off, who are THEY to tell ANY leader of ANY country to leave their "office"?  Yes, I think Gaddafi should have been put on trial when we found out the things he was responsible for, but why hasn't he been arrested by the UN for said crimes?  Please don't think I'm defending despots/dictators/terror cheifs...I'm simply saying, that we are NOT the worlds' policemen, that's the UN's job. let them do it.  The nations of the UN need to make sure they are doind their job.  That aside, if the majority of the people of Egypt wanted their President out, it's up to THEM to handle it, and they did....i wish in a peaceful way...but  not our business to tell him to step down.  Again in Libya, if the majority of the people want Gaddafi out, let them handle it.  And just to be consistant, why aren't they telling the leader of N. Korea to exit stage right?  Oh, yeah, they can pick and choose which dictators they want out, just like they've been picking which laws to enforce or not enforce lately.   In my humble oppinion, Obama has NO business telling leaders to leave office, when the majority of AMERICANS want HIM out of office!  What a hypocrite!  He has been acting quite like a despot himself, total disregard for the will of the American people, trying to force unwanted legislature, out of control spending etc etc....Point the finger at your own self!  Your spending and policies are destroying our country!

Sepah News (the Iranian Revolutionary Guard) reports:

On Wednesday, March 2nd, Commander of the Basij organization, Brigadier General Mohammad-Reza Naghdi spoke at a conference of specialist working groups of Basiji corps of engineers. “Seventy percent of the world’s fossil fuel reserve is under the feet of the soldiers of the Supreme Leadership and soon oil and gas fields belonging to Muslims, which is now in the hands of America will fall into the hands of the people; that will be the time when all those overlords will have sanctions put on them.” He added: “ The enemy is heavily dependent on this energy and the events in the region has them quite agitated, this of course provides us with a hopeful future.”

Naghdi added: “In combating the sanctions our engineers have achieved many impressive things which has clearly frustrated the enemy. And of course our engineers in the nuclear area were shining examples as they were faced with international powers which had colluded against us in preventing this project from going forward, but they did not succeed.”

Naghdi admitted that the Basij militia was in fact instrumental in supporting Palestinians and the Hezbollah during the 22 day and 33 day wars and this has also sparked awareness among people around the world. He said: “Today Zionism is surrounded and it’s days are numbered. If we stay the course and carry out all plans as designed, the awareness that we have inspired will be the basis for the downfall of the overlords.’

Underlining the importance of the changes taking place throughout the region and especially regarding Libya Naghdi claimed: “The Americans have installed their own agent there so that he resists; this then will be a reason for the U.S. to launch a military attack. They’ve always hated the idea of the oil being in control of Muslims, therefore they conspire against all those countries.” He added: “This military resistance in Libya resembles the atrocities committed by Saddam which in fact was America’s own set up as a part of creating the basis for total control over that country. Any action against Libya would be a stupider move than the stupidity of the invasion of Iraq. There are great men in that country and they will never allow their soil to be under American control for a single day. Should the U.S. attack any of the (liberated) countries, it will suffer a blow at the hand of all the nations of Islam.

This decade is the decade of the people’s rule in our region, to push America out, destroy the Zionists; this of course adds to our responsibilities as we must protect and guarantee that all those people who have managed to free themselves, do not fall prey to the evil overlords.”

Why aren't we hearing anything about the Ft. Hood shooter anymore?  What's the update on his Article 32...his trial.....ANYTHING?  Of course there have been short mentions of this recently after 2 US Airman were shot dead and 2 wounded in Germany (makes me sick)  I can't speak for anyone else, but me personally...I want updates on this domestic terrorist attack.  If anyone has any more-currant information than what is below, please send me a link.  All I can say in these crazy times, is God Bless our troops and keep them safe...

From November, 2010:

Hearing Officer Col. James Pohl has completed the recommendation report in the Article 32 hearing against Maj. Nidal Hasan.

The report will be delivered to Hasan’s defense team and Col. Morgan Lamb, the special court martial convening authority in the near future.

“Lamb will review the report and make a decision on appropriate disposition,” Tom Rheinlander, Fort Hood Garrison Command public affairs officer, said.

Notification of the completed recommendation report came the day after the hearing was closed.

Following a three-week defense-requested recess, the Article 32 hearing reconvened Monday with no witnesses called for the defense.

The government wrapped up its presentation of evidence to Pohl on Oct. 21 after calling 56 witnesses over the course of two weeks.

Hasan, an Army psychiatrist, has been charged with 13 specifications of premeditated murder and 32 specifications of attempted premeditated murder in the Nov. 5, 2009 shootings at Fort Hood. Hasan is considered innocent until, and unless, proven guilty.

Pohl called the hearing to order at 9:04 a.m. Monday.

The defense team did not present any evidence. Hasan declined to make any statement.

During the hearing, the defense declined to present any evidence relative to psychological matters or the sanity board, which is yet to be completed.

With no other issues to decide and neither side offering any closing statement, Pohl closed the hearing at 9:06 a.m.

Although the Article 32 has concluded, the legal process continues.

“This is an ongoing deliberate legal process,” Rheinlander said. “The Rule of Court Martial 706 board, commonly referred to as a Sanity Board, is still an ongoing process.”

No timeline has been set for the decision on when, or if, the proceedings against Hasan will continue.

The Article 32 is a pre-trial hearing to determine if there is enough evidence for the specifications to be referred to a court-martial.
